Since the year of 2006, Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry has been cooperating with his partner universities from the Philippines to implement a program called: “English Teach
ing Internship for Philippines senior students in Vietnam”.
Attending this program, Philippines senior students have opportunities to be selected and arranged to take their OJT of 05 or 06 months in the universities, schools, or English centers all over Vietnam. This program is under the coordination and management of the Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry.
In the internship, student interns will be assigned with corresponding supervisors. The student intern will be guided how to become a professional English teacher, how to have a successful lesson and how to prepare lesson plans. In addition, students will be given free accommodation, air tickets, local transportation and monthly food allowance.
Schedule for this English teaching internship is from May to November (Batch 1) and from November to May (Batch 2) annually.
At the moment, the universities in the Philippines which are sending their senior students to this “English Internship program” are: Laguna State Polytechnic University, Batangas State University, Rizal Technological University, Colegio De Lasan De Letran, Laguna University, and Don Mariano Marcos Memorial University. Each batch, each student sends from 15 – 25 applicants and the best will be selected to join in the program.
