From 22nd July 2017 to 6th August 2017, 144 students of Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF) went to Israel to participate the internship at Arava International Center for Agriculture Training (AICAT).
The purpose of this internship program is to provide TUAF’s students with practical knowledge of hi-tech agriculture in one of the most advanced agricultural countries in the world. It is also an opportunity for students to accumulate the necessary skills before graduation, and to meet the needs of employers. Moreover, from 2016, TUAF has changed its training program in the direction of sending students to participate the internship abroad and accept it as credits for graduation. This is a great opportunity for students to accumulate good experience and skills; do their graduation theses and save studying time at the school. In addition, students can save about 100-150 million VND after taking part in this internship program in Israel. It is not a small amount of money because it will be the starting page for students after graduation.
After months of preparation both mentally and physically, today is the day students fly to Israel to fulfill their dreams and desire. Israel, a beautiful land, will help them mature and more brave.

Most of the students were very excited about this trip. During the time to the airport, they sang songs together about youth, dreams, ambition and solidarity. The road seems shortened, and the journey to the land of Israel is closer than ever.

Although the time was too short, but we have a strong attachment to our students. We have a lot of beautiful and memorable memories together. We organized a lot of activities for students such as football matches, English speaking contests, parties, performances, … to bring students closer to each other and to tighten the spirit of solidarity among students. Through orientation sessions, classroom lectures helped us to understand our students better. Students can prepare themselves well in life skills and especially in foreign languages so that they can confidently communicate with international friends. We hope that our students will learn useful things from the modern and high-tech agriculture of Israel, so that when they return to Vietnam, they can contribute for our country.

When we took our students to the airport, we saw our students burst into tears when they say say goodbye to their family and relatives. All made us feel very touched and moved. Farewell always brings sad emotions, but sometimes it helps us to grow up. Then when we return, we will bring a new spirit, stronger, and more confident. Believe in yourself. The journey has begun, be strong and resilient to overcome all challenges. Wish you all the best and we hope that you will have meaningful and fulfilling experience and internship program in the amazing country – Israel.
