May 5, 2015, International Training and Development Center (ITC)has brought a student group to intern in the prefessional golf courses in USA. The group consisted of 8 students from universities such as : Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry (TUAF), Vinh University and Ho Chi Minh University of Agriculture and Forestry.
The students all shared the same feeling of mixed emotion of a little bit fret for living far away from family and friends, a little bit nervousness for starting living in a distant country, worrying about adaptation and not being good enough. There are always initial challenges and hardship but you will catch up with the lifestyle and the work as long as you have determination and passion. Below was the confession of students before departure.
From the distant Ho chi minh University of Agriculture and Forestry, student Pham Phu Vu said: “ I want to thank ITC – TUAF for giving me the oppotunity to join the program. I wish the program thrive more so more studnents coming from all over the country could have an opportunity to discover and experience in the developed countries and I believe that career opportunities are abundant when you come back from the US.
Having know about USA internship program of TUAF for a long time, student Nguyen Duc Phung (Vinh University – Nghe An), has registered the program right after coming back from the Israel internship program so he can continue “on the flight”, working in the more innovative environment and improving his English skills. Student Nguyen Duc Phung said “we, the agricultural students, are very lucky to have many internship options providing by TUAF so we can take part in and accumulate working experience in international environment so we can have our dream job when coming back”.
Want to know how the Americans do their agriculture? How they build the output chain for agricultural product? Especially want to accumulate experience in golf industry to work in the golf course in the near future, so although being a staff at India –VietNam joint venture company, Mr. Doan Van Thao , alumnus of K34 – farming, TUAF, has decided to take a break to join the program in order to accumulate experience and learn new things in America. On behalf of the group, Mr. Doan Van Thao promised to follow laws and regulations of the US and of the golf course as well as try their best to finish the program successfully.
Majored in landscape at TUAF, student Nguyen Quang Huy and student To Tien Dat ( K40 –TUAF), are arrangred to work at golf course and have opportunities to find out more about their major, especially golf industry – one of the most developing industries in Vietnam in 2010-2020 period.
Although America is half-globe in distance and has different culture and customs but we believe that with cooperative, hardworking and eager-to-learn attitude, students will quickly adapt to the America lifestyle and working habits. Let’s build a better image of Vietnam in the eyes of American and others countries . Wish you all finish the program successfully.
